Saint-Étienne-des-Grès is a Mauricie municipality of roughly 4,500 between Trois-Rivières and Shawinigan, straddling Autoroute 55. Its residents largely work in one of the two cities, which leaves the municipality quiet through the day, and its position on a major autoroute gives fast, anonymous access on and off. Housing is a mix of village lots and rural properties spread along rangs and forest roads. Monitored security is the practical counterweight to a commuter municipality on a highway: instant detection of actual entry, and a trained operator responding rather than an alarm nobody is around to hear.

How does monitored home security work in Saint-Étienne-des-Grès?

Your home alarm system — entryway contacts, pet-sensitive motion detection, a digital keypad, high-decibel siren, and backup battery — connects to Canadian monitoring centres that never close. If the system detects a break-in, smoke, flood, or carbon monoxide, a real person responds within moments and alerts the appropriate Saint-Étienne-des-Grès-area emergency service, whether you’re home or away. “Always On” technology keeps monitored smoke and CO detection active even when the alarm isn’t armed.
